The Hunstead garden was alive with the energy of the children who had transformed it. Michael and his friends worked hard on their little plots, but they never forgot to have fun, laughing and playing in between their tasks. Their laughter echoed across the village, carried by the wind into every corner of their small community. The Hunstead had become more than just a garden—it was the heart of the village, a place of life, joy, and connection.

But something else was stirring in the village. The Elderhuns—the elderly villagers who had been captivated by the children’s work—were busy spreading the word about Michael’s mission. These were the wise ones, the storytellers, the keepers of memories. They remembered the Golden Days, when food tasted like sunshine and soil smelled like rain, and they understood the importance of what Michael and his friends were doing.

The Elderhuns spoke to anyone who would listen. They told their neighbors about the Hunstead, about the food grown without chemicals, and about the children who were bringing the land back to life. Their words sparked something in the village—a curiosity, a hope, and a belief that things could change.

Mrs. Jones Calls a Meeting

One morning, Mrs. Jones, one of the most spirited Elderhuns, decided it was time to do more than just talk. She stood in the village square and announced, “All of you who want to support Michael and his Hundred Huns, meet me in the village hall this afternoon. It’s time we came together.”

The word spread quickly, and by the afternoon, the hall was packed. Old men with walking sticks, women with warm smiles and twinkling eyes, and even a few who hadn’t ventured out in months gathered to hear what Mrs. Jones had to say.

Standing at the front of the hall, Mrs. Jones looked out at the crowd and felt a spark of determination. “We remember the Golden Days,” she began, her voice strong. “We remember what it was like when food was alive, when we worked together, and when the soil was as healthy as we were. Michael and his Hundred Huns are bringing those days back, but they can’t do it alone.”

She paused, letting her words sink in. “There are around 100 of us here today. If the children can manage a Hunstead, why can’t we? We might not be as fit as they are, but we have something else—resources.”

“Yes!” called out Mr. Thompson, leaning on his cane. “We have money. And if all 100 of us donate just 1% of our savings, we could buy another Hunstead from the king. Then we’d have a place of our own to care for and grow food.”

A murmur of agreement swept through the room. Heads nodded, hands clapped, and smiles spread. The idea resonated deeply with the Elderhuns, who longed for a purpose, for something to ignite their days with meaning.

Mrs. Jones clapped her hands. “Then it’s settled. We’ll be the Hundred Elderhuns of our own Hunstead!”

A New Purpose

The room buzzed with excitement as plans were made. A collection box was set up in the village hall, and over the next few days, the Elderhuns came one by one to drop in their donations. For some, it was a coin or two; for others, it was a little more. But together, it added up.

The Elderhuns found themselves energized by the project. Suddenly, their days were filled with a new sense of purpose. They talked about the crops they would grow, the food they would share, and the joy of working together again. “It will be like the Golden Days,” Mrs. Jones said with a smile. “We’ll bring some magic back into our lives.”

The Big News

It didn’t take long for the Elderhuns to raise enough money to buy a second Hunstead from the king. They could hardly contain their excitement, and they decided to surprise Michael and the children with the news at their next full moon meeting around the Hunstead fire.

The night was cool and clear, with a golden moon casting its glow over the village. The children sat around the fire, talking and laughing, when suddenly the Elderhuns arrived, carrying lanterns and wearing proud smiles.

Mrs. Jones stepped forward, her voice ringing with excitement. “Michael, children, we have something to share with you. We’ve raised enough money to buy another Hunstead!”

For a moment, there was silence as the children took in the news. Then Michael jumped to his feet, his face alight with joy. “Really? Another Hunstead? That’s amazing!”

The children cheered, their voices rising into the night sky. They began to sing and dance around the fire, their joy spilling over like a river. Michael had cooked a big pot of stew over the fire, and soon the children and the Elderhuns were feasting together, their laughter blending with the crackle of the flames.

As they ate and celebrated, Michael stood up and raised his cup. “Now we have two Hunsteads,” he said, his voice filled with determination. “We can double the amount of food we grow. Thank you, Elderhuns, for believing in us and helping us make this happen.”

The Work Begins

The very next day, the children set off for the new Hunstead, their goats leading the way. The land was overgrown, wild with weeds and tangled plants, but the children didn’t hesitate. They worked together, clearing the land bit by bit, their goats happily munching away at the weeds.

Once the land was ready, they planted Michael’s *Magic Seed Mix* into the rich soil, carefully tending to each little patch. They couldn’t wait to see what would grow and how the new Hunstead would thrive.

Good Times Ahead

Deep underground, Zome had been listening to everything. He smiled as he watched the roots of the plants begin to weave together, their energy spreading through the soil like whispers of hope.

“The good times are coming back,” Zome said to the other microbes, his voice full of warmth. “The land is alive again, and so are the people. This is how it should be.”

As the days passed, the new Hunstead began to grow, and the bond between the children and the Elderhuns grew stronger. Together, they were creating something extraordinary—a community built on love, care, and the simple magic of working with the earth.

And in the heart of it all was Michael, his dream growing bigger and brighter with every passing day.
